    At a distance of a kilometer from the village of Ushi, on the slope of a hill one can find the ruins of St.Sargis monastery and the vestry next to it. The complex was surrounded with a mighty wall. On the hill there are also the ruins of one of the iron age churches.

    The park was founded by “Nig-Aparan” Compatriots\' Charity- NGO headed by the honorary president Aghvan Hovsepyan. The opening ceremony took place on May 28th 2005, and was dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the Armenian alphabet.
