Khor Virap Monastery
Khor Virap monastery is situated in Ararat valley, on the bank of Arax river, where Gregory Illuminator was imprisoned by king Tiridat III for 13 years. The churches of St. Godmother and St. Gregory Illuminator were built in 1661, on the places of previously existing churches here. -
